Female Athlete News website, subscriptions, features

Female Athlete News is excited to share with our readers that we’ve revamped our site for user-friendliness.

FAN underwent a design change and improved its login process for our subscribers. Thanks to FAN’s financial supporters, the site also strengthened its security safeguards throughout July and early August.

“We received emails and phone calls from our loyal readers, who were having difficulties with the former site,” FAN President Jana Benscoter said. “Our readers are our top priority. We appreciate their amazing support and encouragement to continue expanding our work to shine a light on girls and women in sports.”

Our domain, female-athlete-news.com, now offers a FAN Store, where readers may sign up for exclusive content. A new feature recently released called ‘Game Speed,’ which features special guests who talk about all things sports-related, is part of FAN’s exclusive content starting this week.

Our first episode featured USA Field Hockey athlete Olivia Bent-Cole, and our second Penn State Field Hockey’s Phia Gladieux.

FAN also has implemented a three-tiered subscription option: $100 one-time for one-year; $10 a month (cancel anytime); and $2 (no-commitment) for 24-hour access.

Our subscribers will be receiving notification about  this change on August 14 and 15.

The next scholarship competition is upon us. Athletes who want to sign up to compete for the Class of 2024 $5,000 Linda Kreiser Female Athlete Scholarship will be featured in short stories under the ‘Athletes’ page.

Information about this year’s scholarship will be published throughout the next few weeks, and shared with members of the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association.

FAN’s new design allows for more stories to be featured. The NEWS page lists stories by the most recent date of publication. Gallery pictures will be updated throughout the season. Please contact us at femaleathletenews@gmail.com with any questions, concerns, or interest in purchasing a photo.
