ESU field hockey remains No. 1 in week four of NFHCA poll; Warriors celebrate Sandy Miller’s 487th Division II victory

The fourth week of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll sponsored by Penn Monto barely saw a difference from week four’s poll.

East Stroudsburg, which remains settled-in to the No. 1 spot,  celebrated its head coach Sandy Miller, who moved into third all-time in NCAA Division II with 487 career wins.

“The NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2023 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship,” according to the association. “After two weeks of regular season competition, eligible teams must maintain a record of .500 or above to be eligible for ranking each week.”

Here are the Division II field hockey teams that were ranked by coaches in week four:

10. Newberry College, 9-1, no change

9. Bloomsburg, 8-2, no change

8. Millersville, 6-3, no change

7. Mansfield, 6-3, previous rank No. 6
