There’s a lot to absorb when you arrive at the 2023 PIAA Class 1A high school field hockey championship. Crowds are larger. Cheering is louder. Every decision counts. Good luck to all the athletes Saturday at Cumberland Valley High School. Lackawanna Trail [15-4-2] The only school coming out of District 2 in Class 1A is Lackawanna Trail. The Lions claimed the 2023 District 2 Class 1A championship title by defeating last year’s winners Wyoming Area. Trail came out on top against the Warriors in overtime in the District run. Lackawanna had to beat two District 3 teams – ELCO and Bishop McDevitt – and a District 4 team in its state run.…
