Messiah University and York College are no longer in the running for the 2022 NCAA Division III title.
The final four will be played on Friday, Nov. 18. The teams participating in it are Williams, Johns Hopkins, Rowan, and Middlebury.
Messiah lost 3-1 in the quarterfinals to Rowan.
Rowan, ranked No. 3, will face Middlebury at 3 p.m. Middlebury is ranked No. 2. Prior to that contest, No. 4 Johns Hopkins will play No. 8 Williams at 12 p.m.
According to Rowan, “The Profs, now 21-1, have tied the school record for wins, matching that of the 2002 team which went 21-0 captured the program’s only national title. This will be the third appearance in the NCAA Semifinals under Coach Michelle Andre, and the fifth trip in school history.”
York, which saw its first NCAA tournament appearance, lost 1-0 to No. 1 Salisbury. The Spartans ended the season 16-6 in the second round. Salisbury is the only team in Division III that remains unbeaten at 18-0.
