WC Eagles wins 11th consecutive U-14 National Club Championship; sweeps all age divisions: USA Field Hockey

Five out of the nine hockey clubs adorned with medals are from Pennsylvania.

WC Eagles, which goes by ‘The Choice of Champions,’ held to its slogan last week at USA Field Hockey’s annual National Club Championships.

The Spring City hockey club traveled south to Virginia Beach and returned to Pennsylvania with three gold medals in the U-14, U-16, and U-19 categories. It was the club’s 11th consecutive gold in the U-14 division.

The event, presented by YOLO Sportswear, ran from June 23 to July 1. It was held at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center and Princess Anne Athletic Compex. Clubs that participated earned a spot in each age category throughout the spring at the conclusion of Regional Club Championships.

“The National Club Championship is an ideal opportunity for clubs to compete against each other in a highly competitive atmosphere and coincides with USA Field Hockey’s mission of growing playing opportunities and the game of field hockey in the United States,” according to USA Field Hockey.
