Transitioning from high school to college is an exciting time in an athlete’s life.
Female Athlete News has the motto of ‘Caring Beyond the Story.’ FAN is thrilled to announce that voting for the Class of 2024 ‘Linda Kreiser Female Athlete Scholarship’ is underway.
Voting starts at 8 a.m. Monday, November 20 and ends at midnight Sunday, November 26. The athlete with the most votes will win the $5,000 scholarship.
To find the 17 amazing high school field hockey players who are vying for it, please visit our ‘Athletes Page’ at female-athlete-news.com. The rules are published at the top of the page. The athlete had to have been either committed in the Class of 2023 between January and June of this year, or a high school senior, Class of 2024, who has committed to her college by October 31.
Athletes, who played field hockey in Pennsylvania during the 2023 season, have to be future Division I, II, or III college field hockey players. NCAA student athletes often face rigorous challenges by having to find a balance between athletics, academics, and life. FAN hopes this opportunity affords these girls a chance to try something new by participating in our contest, as well as help set up our winner in her adjustment to a college environment.
The scholarship is split into two $2,500 payments. The athlete will receive her first payment before departing for college. And, the second payment after her first semester and proof of a 3.0 GPA.
Voters receive one vote. Duplicates will not be counted toward the final count.

9. Your account will still be active for 30 days
