Meet our special guests USA Women’s National Field Hockey athletes Maddie Zimmer (Hershey High School, Northwestern) and Ashley Sessa (Episcopal Academy, Northwestern).
Zimmer and Sessa were on the US squad that qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. They are both from Pennsylvania. Zimmer received two player of the match awards and Sessa received one in Ranchi, India in January. Take a photo with them, have your favorite jersey autographed, and wish them well as they are Olympic hopefuls!
FAN is thrilled to also have the 2023 NCAA Division II National Field Hockey Champions with us at the championship! Meet the Kutztown Bears. They will also be on the field during warm-ups, as well as along the sidelines during the championship.
We will have yummy food served up by Grateful Bowls, Grillbilly’s, and That’s What Cheese Said food trucks. We ask that patrons not bring with them bags, or backpacks. And, to limit bringing food and drink. We love to support small businesses! So, let’s support these trucks at our alcohol-free (meaning NO alcohol) tailgate party.
Additionally, we are going to try to set a Guinness Book of World Record for a high school field hockey championship game! Come out. Show up. And, let’s make some memories. We’re asking that if you can carpool, please opt for that option. Parking is available at the middle school and nearby high school.
Athletes attending as fans, please don’t hold back from representing your high school, middle school, or club program by wearing your team merch. We have a team of photographers who will be capturing fans in pictures. And, a drone operator for the championship game.
Springtime in Pennsylvania – the weather? You could experience every season within one day. The PA Cup is happening rain or shine. All ticket sales are final. Please dress appropriately! Bring blankets, gloves, sunglasses, and hats.
FAN would like to thank all of its sponsors, volunteer coaches, umpires and photographers for their time.
