Female Athlete News’ first female athlete scholarship winner: Wyoming Area’s Bianca Pizano

Female Athlete News is thrilled to announce that our first FAN scholarship winner is Bianca Pizano.

The Wyoming Area senior is off to attend Michigan State this fall after graduation, where she will play Division I field hockey. She is set to study biochemistry.

Pizano secured the most votes cast by FAN’s membership the week of Jan. 23 to 27. FAN’s membership is made up of both our Athletes on our Athletes page, as well as Athletes and Gallery pass holders.

Our membership will receive updates for exclusive giveaways, event updates, and names of contest winners prior to the information being published on our website and social media channels.

Right behind the Warrior midfielder, in second place, is Alicia Battistelli (Palmyra), and in third, is Reagan Eickhoff (Boiling Springs).

All three will receive free tickets to our upcoming event. Details coming soon. The event will honor Pizano and recognize all of our 2022 field hockey All-Stars.

The first scholarship competition was offered to any Pennsylvania high school senior, who played field hockey in 2022. Any female athlete between the ages of 13 and 18 can sign up for a free athlete profile at any time.

In order to create a profile, athletes must use the registration link on Female Athlete News’ home page. Athletes and Gallery passes are also available at any time.

On FAN’s homepage, create an account, pick your pass, and you will receive membership updates.

Stay tuned for a story featuring Pizano.

Thank you to all who participated in our first scholarship competition.
