East Stroudsburg, Shippensburg and Saint Anselm top Division II poll: NFHCA

East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg dominated the 2023 regular field hockey season National Field Hockey Coaches poll.

The two Division II teams have been battling for the top position all season. They met last year in the 2022 NCAA Division II championship game, where ESU won the title.

And, the Warriors have bragging rights that they claimed the 2023 PSAC Conference title.

Shippensburg won the national Division II title in 2021 after beating ESU in a semifinal game and then also defeating West Chester in the championship finale.

Lander University was able to garner attention of coaches and made it onto the final Division II list at No. 10. The NFHCA list is not the same thing as the NCAA Division II tournament.
